Unofficial Oceanic Rift Server

The question for many upcoming MMO release is all about server selection for aussies and oceanics.  "Which Rift server is the unofficial oceanic server?" or perhaps "Which Rift server are the aussies going to?"  Well Nysana of Reverence did the work to get some Australian and Oceanic guild leaders to ausMMO to hash it out and make a decision.

UPDATE: 9 February 2011 - final decision, no changes, this it (for real!).

The PVP server has been sorted out in advance for weeks now.  The PVP crew clearly had their shit together well in advance.  The RP crew likewise have had themselves sorted out and gtg.

Rift Unofficial PVE Oceanic Server - Details

Abyss, Aurora Noctum, Gwaith-i-hur and Reverence have agreed to this server and selection process.  It will not be changing.

Belmont is NOT the unofficial oceanic anything!

Things change.  Its a pain in the ass, but its been done.  Wolfsbane is in, Belmont is not!

Oceanic Rift Guilds - Recruitment

Sehn over at the official Rift forums has generously created a forum for oceanic guild recruitment, so your recruiting posts don't get buried in the official forums.  Check out OzRift here.  As always, oceanic guilds are free to recruit on the ausMMO forums anytime, for any game.

Ventrilo Meeting for Launch

ausMMO will have more details for you soon - we will be posting the Ventrilo details of the pre-launch Vent meeting to confirm the server selection ('just in case'!) and keep as many oceanic players together as possible.

So for those oceanic players of you out there - that's how the unofficial oceanic PVE server will be selected on launch day.  If there are any guild leaders/officers that want to discuss it, please feel free to swing by the ausMMO forums and send a PM to Anasyn (Nsyana's ausMMO handle).  The management of Reverence would dearly love it to be a community decision.
